The AU Envoy Raila Odinga has now claimed that the church has played a parft in the ongoing corruption in Kenya.
While speaking during a funeral services in Kisumu Mr Odinga said the church is to blame for accepting corruption proceeds in fundraisers.
“The church is busy congratulating them, yet these people are embezzling funds meant for development.”
In addition he said, “They sit down when money is brought to them in huge sacks, claiming these leaders are working hard and investing in heaven.”
His comment which seemed directed to Deputy President William Ruto following his generousity at church fundraisers came a day after the ODM Leader claimed that the Catholic Bishop rejected DP Ruto’s car since it was bought using corruption money.
Ruto has also hit back, in what now seems like a fight opening the stage for their expected battle to succeed Uhuru come 2022.
