Liverpool and Manchester United ‘are both considering a summer swoop for Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco’.
The 26-year-old Spaniard’s future at the Bernabeu is in doubt following an inconsistent season that has seen him score just one league goal.
Isco has been named in Real’s starting line-up just five times in La Liga matches and has spent much of the campaign sitting on the bench.
According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, the Premier League rivals are both interested in signing the player, whose Real contract doesn’t expire until the summer of 2022.
Italian giants Juventus are another club linked with Isco, who has failed to gain the trust of Real manager Santiago Solari this season.
In all, he has scored four goals in 26 matches this season, with one in the Champions League and two in the Copa del Rey alongside his sole La Liga strike. He has also contributed just one assist.
Real’s 1-0 defeat to rivals Barcelona in Saturday’s Clasico has effectively killed off their title chances as they sit in third, some 12 points behind the leaders.
