A young mother of five has been granted a second chance after managing to sit for her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations 20 years later.
The last time the lady sat in a class was back in 1994 but as life would have it, she could not pursue her dreams.
In a Twitter video shared on Saturday, March 2, the elated lady explained how an initiative dubbed The second chance saved her life.
“I remember no one was there for me. No one believed in my potential,” the lady said.
After years of yearning, the mother of five got into a classroom, did her best and scored a D plus in her final examinations. Now, more than anything, she wants to be a teacher and impact the lives of others just like hers was impacted. “When I went back to school, all teachers were helpful. I just want to thank everyone who was there for me,” she said.
