Fresh Details Emerge About Lawyer Chesang’s Brutal Wife

Nyeri Senior Resident Magistrate Pauline Chesang was on Monday arraigned in court over the murder of her husband, lawyer Robert Chesang in Lukenya, Machakos County.

Mrs Chesang alongside three others among them two police officers appeared before Mavoko principal magistrate Elvis Mitheka.

Chesang, according to the charge sheet was shot several times by unknown armed men.

He was alone at the time of the attack but surprisingly nothing was stolen from his home by the attackers.

Chesang’s wife will remain in custody for nine more days as investigations on her involvement in the murder continues.

Through her lawyer Assa Nyakundi, she had sought to be released on bond so as to take care of their children aged eight and five years respectively since she was the only guardian.

However, Mavoko principal magistrate Elvis Mitheka denied the prayer saying the matter is sensitive and the accused might interfere with investigations which are at an advance stage.

A plea by her Lawyer to have her released because she suffers from a severe asthmatic medical condition was also dismissed.

The magistrate spent the night at the Athi River police station after she was arrested on Sunday.
