Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has backed Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri to succeed at Chelsea noting that the manager’s second season will be better.

After a perfect start to the season, Sarri has come under fire for his tactics which critics say that the players are struggling to adapt to. The 60-year-old looked to be on the verge of being sacked last month before several improved performances gave him a stay of execution.
Mourinho was the guest analyst at BeIN Sports in the Chelsea game against Fulham and backed Sarri to succeed at Stamford Bridge, “The Premier League is the kind of country where you have to lose a bit your identity to try to adapt to the characteristics of the game and the characteristics of the opponents. He will learn with time. I believe the second season will be better for him.”
