Bungoma students injured by lightning

Normal operations at St. Brigid Nangwe Girls in Bungoma were on Sunday night interrupted as lightning struck, leaving sixty of them injured.

Fifty of the students were treated and discharged while the remaining 10 are still admitted but are in stable condition.

The students were reportedly in class for their evening preps when lightning struck at around 8pm leading to a stampede.

Confirming the incident, the school Principal Fransisca Munyasia stated that the students are presently undergoing counseling at the institution.
