Antonio Rudiger on how Maurizio Sarri has adapted at Chelsea

Chelsea suffered a real dip in form recently under Maurizio Sarri.

The Blues would lose back-to-back away games vs Bournemouth and Manchester City, 4-0 and 6-0.

Their 6-0 loss to City was their biggest defeat since 1991.

Chelsea were then upstaged by Manchester United in the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge. They also dropped out of the top four.

However, since the League Cup final, Chelsea have looked much more positive under Sarri.

Granted, they did lose the final on penalties. But to go 120 minutes vs Man City and not concede a single goal when you had just been smashed 6-0 by them less than two weeks prior shows great improvement.

Chelsea then went on to beat 3rd place Tottenham 2-0 and a much improved Fulham side 2-1 on Sunday.

Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger has since spoken out about how Maurizio Sarri is adapting to life at Chelsea and how it is helping their results.

β€œI think everyone has adapted to new things – also the coach. You saw the way we played against Tottenham and Manchester City. It was different to the way we played in the first three months. Everyone needs to adapt, everyone needs to learn and it is good that it has happened in this moment.

β€œIn life, you need to adapt to things. This League is different to Italy, you have to adjust a bit. The coach learned from that game against Manchester City. There we went high, we went to press, we wanted to win the ball and everyone knows what happened.”As quoted by the Telegraph.
