‘Shetani ashindwe’, Ruto blasts out at those implicating him in Kisumu Bishop ‘gift’ chaos

Deputy President William Ruto has hit back at former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s claims the Catholic Church rejected a vehicle he had presented to Kisumu Catholic Archbishop Philip Anyolo during his installation “because it was bought using dirty money”.

In a post on his Twitter handle, the Deputy President corrected Odinga by stating that the car was bought by Christian leaders including President Uhuru Kenyatta and himself at the request of the Chair of Catholic MPs.
He went to further to describe his political nemesis as a “master of deceit who is always spewing desperate lies.”

Ruto who has been engaged in a war of words with the ODM leader signed off by stating “understandably empowering the Church offends magicians and the evil spirits they worship.”

Odinga has led an affront against the Deputy President where he has often questioned the source of his money which the DP usually donates to various social causes.

On Saturday, Odinga claimed the Catholic Church was forced to reject the present after the Pope insisted that the vehicle be returned.

Ruto presented a brand new Sports Utility Vehicle to the bishop during the latter’s installation at Uzima University in Kisumu in January.
