Meghan Markle and Pirnce Harry were spotted visiting Meghan’s mom, Doria, in Los Angeles.
One surprised neighbour told The Sun : “Meghan is a mommy’s girl — their special mother-daughter bond hasn’t disappeared just because she’s moved to England.
“Meghan will always come back to Doria, this will always be her home.
“They are forever in touch, and Meghan has been here to stay on more than one occasion since going public with Harry. I even saw him here once, but it’s not my place to say any more.”
It is unclear when the visit happened, but it is believed to have been a stopover visit during Meghan and Harry’s recent royal tour of Australasia.
Doria bought the modest home in 1994 for the equivalent of £180,000.
The 62-year-old, who’ll soon be a grandmother, is reportedly ready to move to the UK to be with Meghan.
Her current home in the aptly named Windsor Hills district has a gravel-littered porch and is dotted with small plastic signs declaring “trespassers will be prosecuted”.
But while Meghan, 37, travels in luxury, chauffeur-driven limousines, her mum drives a modest Honda CRV.
One close family friend said: “Doria could live in a Hollywood Hills mansion behind huge walls if she wished.
“But she doesn’t. She has chosen to stay in the street she’s lived on for the past 25 years, where all her friends are and where her community is.
“She is incredibly popular around here and everyone is fiercely protective over her.
“Meghan said she can move somewhere more fancy, but she has no interest.
“Doria is a kind, humble lady. She wants a simple life.”
