A feud has been erupting hotly between Raila Odinga and DP William Ruto following Raila’s remarks that the Catholic church rejected vehicle gift from Ruto“because it was bought using dirty money”

“The Pope insisted that the vehicle be returned. We should stand for the truth,” he said during the funeral of former chief Daudi Owino Olak in Lifunga Kobiero village, Ugenya Sub-County.

However Kisumu Archbishop Philip Anyola has dismissed claims that he rejected an expensive car he was given as gift by Deputy President William Ruto during his installation as the Archbishop of Catholic Diocese of Kisumu.

The man of the cloth also clarified the car was among many other gifts he received during the ceremony and which are still with the church, contrary to the allegations that he had disposed the vehicle.

Speaking to one of the local news outlets, Anyolo said the luxury car was not his personal belonging but rather a property of the church.
