Manchester United forward James Wilson has admitted he could leave the club in the summer when his contract expires.

The England international is currently on loan at Scottish side Aberdeen and admits he is getting close to leaving United on a permanent move. Wilson’s last appearance for the Red Devils came over three years ago.

“I think I’ve come to terms with it,” said Wilson when asked about leaving.

“I wouldn’t say I’m 100 percent certain I’m going to leave. There’s still a slight chance I might get a contract but I think I’m edging towards leaving in the summer. I’ll come to terms with it more when it actually happens. I think it might be tougher than perhaps I thought. My focus is one the next step, wherever that might be.”

The 23-year-old made his United debut against Hull at the end of the 2013-14 season, scoring twice in Ryan Giggs’first match in charge of the club.
