We are not fools, Sifuna tells Ruto

The dam scandal is not ending anytime soon and the one been hit bhard is Deputy President William Ruto after his name was linked in the scandal.

Days after the DCI mentioned names in the scandal, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) through their Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has come out telling off the DP.

Sifuna has termed DP Ruto’s explanation on the scandal as ignorant statement aimed at covering up for the government.

He added that bank statements are not proof enough to save the government, reminding him that Kenyans are not fools to be taken in circles.

While taking to his twitter page Sifuna wrote, “So other than the bank guarantees what do we have to show for the 7 Billion? As a “hustler” once said, kuna upungufu wa wajinga kenya hii.”

The money in question is about Sh7 billion, and for every coin that has been paid, we have a bank guarantee. No money will be lost because we are a responsible government,” Ruto said.

His statement come after DP Ruto rubbished claims that the money was lost saying that the government was ready to account for every sent that was claimed lost.
