Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa has been rendered jobless. Education with CS Amina Mohammed has now been moved to the sports docket and the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) CEO George Magoha has been nominated for appointment as CS to the Ministry of Education.
The other person who was sacked in the Executive Order which was issued on Friday, March 1, is the Principal Secretary for State Department for Broadcasting and Telecommunications Fatuma Hirsi. Also there were reassignments in which Principal Secretaries Ali Noor Ismail was moved to the State Department of Cooperatives and Ibrahim M. Mohamed reassigned to the State Department of Environment Forestry. Peter Kiplagat Tum takes over State Department of Labour, Margaret Mwakima was reassigned to the State Department of East African Affairs while Susan Koech takes over State Department of Wildlife.
