Dori is expected to to appear at a special National Governing Council (NGC) within 60 days to defend himself over accusations of ‘betraying’ the party Constitution.

Jumwa who has been officially expelled from the party has the option of appealing the party’s decision at the Political Parties Dispute’s Tribunal.

If her appeal fails however, Malindi voters will have to go back to the ballot as she was elected on an ODM ticket.

ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has indicated that the party Constitution does not allow appeals after expulsion.

The two MPs have been on a collision course with the Raila Odinga-led party after they were accused of openly supporting Deputy President William Ruto.

This despite them claiming that they affiliated themselves with the DP under the Building Bridges
