The former Prime Minister and ODM leader Raila Odinga has spoken out after the firing of Rashid Echesa by President Uhuru Kenyatta in the recent reshuffling of the Cabinet.
Speaking during the ODM National Governing Council meeting , Hon Raila Odinga asked his party to play in the front in shaming the corrupt individuals;
“Our party must sensitize our people across the country to reject, name and shame those involved in this crime against the people. We are witnessing a level of corruption never seen before in our country.”
” We must reject attempts by this enterprise to turn the war against them into an affair of their communities and we must reject attempts by these criminals to target, criminalize and stigmatize investigative agencies,” Raila added.
In what has been seen as hitting on Echesa, Raila said that the nation is determined to making the lives of the corrupt difficult:
“We must take lead in making life difficult for purveyors of corruption.” Raila said.
Echesa few months ago was recorded on live TV dared Raila Odinga to fire him. But in a similar tune, Echesa who has been so controversial has suffered the loss
