A middle-aged man died on Thursday night after he threw himself in front of an oncoming bus at Kachok area on the Kisumu-Nairobi highway. The man, who is yet to be identified, jumped from a footbridge constructed near Lions High School.
Reports claim the man had earlier Thursday quarreled with his girlfriend. Eye witnesses say the now-deceased timed a speeding Nairobi-bound bus and threw himself in front of it at 10pm, he vehicle crashed the man to death, completely disfiguring him.
The incident caused a traffic snarl-up on the busy road and later the deceased was moved to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
