Siaya County Governor Cornel Rasanga has decided to punish residents from his county for what he termed as misconduct.
The Residents who are from two wards Central Alego and West Asembo wards vowed not to remit taxes something that anger the governor.
In his statement Governor Rasanga ordered County government officials to stop any ongoing projects in the two wards
The governor has based his decision on misbehaviour from residents and their ward representatives after the residents vowed to not remit taxes to the county government.
He has claimed that the people are being incited by their Members of County Assemblies Leonard Oriaro and Ambrose Akuno respectively.
He has warned the traders who are lamenting of uncollected garbage and poor drainage of arrest for evading taxes, adding that the county will as well close down the markets.
They also want the county to address the issues of lack of security lights and toilets in the markets, in what has now attracted the attention of another county MCAs.
