Ruto comes with evidence , says Ksh21 billion dam money is a flat lie

Ruto has revealed some chilling details concerning the Ksh 21 billion payment scheme to an Italian firm contracted to construct two mega dams in the North Rift that have been mired in a massive bribery scandals.
According to the DP, of the total amount paid which he did not disclose, the money is Ksh 7Billion and not 21 billion as allegedly reported.

The statement comes days after it was revealed that deals worth Sh700 billion to construct the water facilities in the country have been entered into or are awaiting signing.

Investigators are now raising questions on the huge amounts involved in construction of the dams and whether there will be value for money.

The statement has raised issues with the credibility of investigators mandated to fight corruption.

The National Super Alliance (Nasa) said the plunder of the Sh21 billion meant for the construction of two dams had been propagated at the highest level of government and by people from the region.

Although they did not give any evidence to back this claim, Nasa asked the DCI to unmask top government officials behind the scandal.

They said there was no way the Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) would have had the audacity to initiate payments for such mega projects without political support at the highest level of government.

“The perpetrators of this scandal must have been working under a powerful command in execution of this fraud and plunder of public resources,” Nasa said in a statement signed by its chief executive Norman Magaya
