Robbery with violence lands 3 Chinese nations in court

Three Chinese nationals were on Thursday arraigned in a Nairobi court and charged with robbery with violence.

According to Kenyans.co.ke, The three, Wang Liyong, Ye Dalu, and Peng Hongwen were accused of robbing Samuel Mbugua Njoroge of Kshs5 Million in cash and a car worth Kshs2.1 Million.

The incident is alleged to have taken place at Golf Villas Estate along Muchai Drive within Nairobi on January 10, 2019.

According to court documents, the three jointly with others not before court robbed Njoroge of a Mitsubishi Pajero of registration number KBW 349W.

The Chinese nationals allegedly threatened to use violence on the victim at the time of the robbery.

They pleaded not guilty and were detained at Central police station.

Earlier on Wednesday, two Chinese nationals were charged with stealing Kshs70 Million from their employer.

Du Fang and Liu Fang Ying were accused of intent to defraud their employer Hu Shi Wen in which they allegedlyconspired to steal the property.

The crime is documented to have occurred on diverse dates between 1st July 2017 and 10th September 2018 in Nairobi.
