Lukaku Opens up on how Solskjaer has helped him end goal drought

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has been on his nine-game goal drought .

On Wednesday Lukaku ended his drought after helping his side beat Crystal Palace 3-1.

The Belgian netted a brace and credited his boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for keeping him ‘hungry’ during his goal drought period. Lukaku opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the 33rd minute before extending United’s lead to two in the second half.

“I like him. He’s really open and honest with his communication and he keeps me hungry so whenever I get the chance to play I want to do my best and help the team win,” said Lukaku.

“It’s really helpful (to have a striker as a coach). If you look at my career, I’ve always had good strikers who have helped me throughout my career at every stage and now here with Ole, I’ve learned a lot and every day is another chance to learn, to get better and that’s how I see it.”
