Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji’s attention has been drawn to undercover police officers Hesy wa Kayole and Hesy wa Dandora. During a community dialogue at Kayole Social Hall on Wednesday, February 28, Haji told the residents he will write to track down and instigate probe into activities of the killer cops.
He said it is against the fundamental natural justice to kill suspects without letting themgo through legal process so as to give the accused a fair hearing. “I will write to Inspector General of Police to investigate on Hessy vigilante group. No one should be killed, all suspects must go through legal process,”he said.
Those in the attendance decried increased cases of extrajudicial killings by faceless police officers in Dandora, Huruma and Kayole slum areas. Hesy wa Dandora, Hesy wa Kayole, Blackest Widow and Saigon Punisher are some Facebook accounts believed to be operated by crime busters. However, in an interview with Citizen TV in November 7, 2018, police boss Joseph Boinnet denied knowledge of unanimous individuals whom he described as excitable chaps with a lot of interest on security issues.
“I have heard some fellow who posts a lot of stuff on social media. Hesy is not one of us, he is just an excitable chap who seems to have a lot of interest in security issues,” said Boinnet.
