The United striker posted a video to Instagram following their 3-1 Premier League win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. In the black and white video, Lukaku films himself as he sings along to ‘Thong Song’ by Sisqo. Lukaku occasionally turns his phone towards Sanchez, who is getting changed next to him. The Chilean acknowledges the camera, although he looks slightly baffled by the music choice.

This is explained by the caption attached by Lukaku to the video, where he explains that Sanchez had ‘never heard this song’. ‘Thong Song’, by US artist Sisqo, was released on February 15, 2000, and peaked at No 3 in the UK singles chart. It was the celebratory tune of choice for Lukaku on Wednesday after he proved his point on a rare opportunity to start under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The United interim manager has generally preferred Marcus Rashford in the central striking role since replacing the sacked Jose Mourinho.

This has left £75million front man Lukaku slightly out of the loop, however he struck two well taken goals as United left London with three points. Victory keeps United’s push for the Champions League going, as they stay just one point behind fourth-placed Arsenal.
