Year 2019 has not been a smooth one for the ‘Barua’ hit maker, Bahati. Artistes have been quitting fro his record label, EMB’ one after another.
It all started with Mr. Seed who left after his regnant wife was disrespected by Bahati’s wife, Diana Marua during the Jesus concert at Thika. He was then followed by Weezdom who claimed not to be comfortable working with Bahati any longer for Diana had no respect toward the artists.
David Wonder followed in quitting though he didn’t give a reason but it feels things are not good at EMB records. Rebecca Soki and Bahati’s manager, Kioko followed in the quitting list leaving everyone wondering what’s wrong with Bahati.
Rebecca has come out to explain why she couldn’t work with Bahati any longer. She claims that she left earlier before all the artists who have just left. She was uncomfortable with the secular styles used in her song ‘Baraka zangu’. The song brought a lot of beef at EMB that Bahati even blocked it from being sold.
She says that she is in regrets working with Bahati; ”He is not a nice guy and he has a lot pride. He thinks the world belongs to him.”
