Unstoppable Cairo train that killed 25 lost brakes

Not less than 25 lives were killed and 50 harmed when a train crushed through the stop at Cairo’s primary train station on Wednesday, causing a blast and a flame, state TV and witnesses said.

Film circling in the website from a surveillance camera inside Ramses station demonstrated the train failing to stop as it landed at stage six, crushing through the cushions and a metal end railing as travelers conveying gear strolled by.

Film from a second camera indicated individuals running from the blast, some with their garments ablaze.

Security sources said there was no sign that the accident was intentional. The vehicle serve said the train’s diesel tank had detonated.

I saw a man pointing from the train as it entered the stage, and shouting ‘There are no brakes! There are no brakes!’, before he hopped out of the train. What’s more, I don’t have a clue the end result for him.”

The flame sent smoke surging over the station. Inside, the train’s burned motor could be seen tilted to the other side alongside a stage.

Onlooker Mina Ghaly included: “I was remaining on the stage and I saw the train speed into the hindrance … Everybody began running yet many individuals kicked the bucket after the train detonated.

“I saw something like nine bodies lying on the ground, roasted.”
