Kenyan Gospel Artist Ringtone Apoko has explained why he blasted Akothee over her actions during the Paparemo performance.
The Singer said that he loves Akothee’s music and despite being a secular artist he likes how she dances and has strong messages in her songs. However he says that she has started doing things that are not meant for her.
In an exclusive interview, Ringtone said that he was concerned by the drama that Akothee puts herself in and for him he prefers saying it as it is.
The artist says that Akothee should focus on her music and not the the drama that she is involved in.
He narrated that his remarks were triggered after his visit to a center in Roysambu that deals with mad people and the teachers in that center said that Akothee is ‘mad’.
Ringtone says that he thought about it and decided to give his input. The Singer also says that he is fearless and he is realistic when he gives his opinion by telling the truth.
Ringtone insisted that his opinion is that Akothee should abandon the issue of lifting her legs up for drunkards, mad and sick people.
The artist was weighing in over the incident of Akothee’s performance that left tongues wagging.
His remarks comes after his Instagram post telling Akothee that she cannot be a successful musician and a mad person at the same time.
