Leicester Treat Brendan Rogers to a winning symphony after taking the coach mantle

Brendan Rodgers watched his new Leicester team return to winning ways on Tuesday night after being appointed by the club on a £5.5million-a-year deal until 2022 earlier in the day.

The move brings an abrupt end to a trophy-laden two-and-half-years at Celtic for the Northern Irishman, who is returning for a third stint in the Premier League.

Rodgers, who was greeted with applause at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night, said: ‘I’m very privileged and honoured to be here as Leicester City manager and I’ll give my life to make the supporters proud of their club.
