There is a very high possibility that the cold blooded murder of city lawyer Robert Chesang could have been orchestrated by a policeman and his son.
Lawyer Chesang was shot seven times by an AK 47 at his house in Lukenya Area, Machakos County.
The daring incident happened on in brought daylight on Sunday, 17th February at his house in Mooke Gardens.
Police have now arrested a policeman based at Mutuini police post in Dagorreti as the chief suspect. The policeman’s son is also in custody.
This is after it emerged that the car used to drive the gunmen to Chesang’s home belonged to the policeman.
A car that the gunmen used to the house and escape in was detained at Athi River police station and occupants who had it on Tuesday arrested. It was then that they said the owner was the police officer.Police say their colleague and his son had earlier been seen while driving in Athi River.
The motive of the murder is yet to be established.
