Ezekiel Mutua issues stern warning to individuals producing obscene contents

Kenya Film and Classification Board Ceo Dr. Ezekiel Mutua has announced a major crackdown on individuals producing obscene content for media consumption.

Mutua added that public performances do not have time frames in the name of watershed. The kind of media content that children are exposed to have a huge impact on the kind of adults they become.

“This is not an issue of human rights, this is an issue of society, of our own base as a culture as a people regardless of which society you come from” said Dr Mutua.

He further noted that,the content we consume influences our character,the media shapes opinion; the media sets agenda and character on especially impressionable children.

This comes after a heated debate between him and Easter Passari following the raunchy performance of Kenya singer Akothee went viral.
