Another Ivory Bust: Three Trophy Smugglers Caught Pants Down With 13Kgs of Ivory

Three men are currently in police custody after they were arrested in the confines of Karen and found in the possession of 13 kg of ivory.

The three suspects in question include Raymond Kahura, 32, Frankline Lekashina, 26, and Moses Leshinga, 24, who were intercepted by police detectives following a tip-off by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

Nevertheless, the arrests shed light on an underground criminal den of Ivory traders in the country.

In fact, reports by the WildLife Direct organization claim that some individuals have been operating freely in the ivory trade and are yet to be arrested.

They have continued in the illegal sector with impunity.
