Akothee is no stranger to drama and scandal, she is clearly defying societal codes, gaining fame and making money in the process. What most people do not know is Akothee started at the bottom of the food chain with not much going for her. Her looks would be described as average, she has no notable pedigree, her education (as evidenced by her linguistic skills) is wanting; and clearly, she was not born with a silver spoon in her mouth.
Recently, she had attracted the ire of Kenya’s moral star Bwana Mutua. So apparently, Kenyans want Akothee to follow the code that states that once a woman has children, no part of her flesh should show and the only tales she should regale the world with are tales of her children, not tales of her enterprises, her men or her outfits.
For those not in the know,
about a week ago Akothee was performing at some show at the Coast and it
appears she did some stunts meant to excite her audience. From the look of
things, this worked since some people in the audience took pictures and
circulated them in certain social platforms.
Yet many more will tell
you that it is amazing that she somehow manages to maintain some form of decent
relationship with their fathers and even gets them to pay for her. Hats off to
her! Many women cannot get their baby daddies to do anything for their kids. Maybe
Akothee’s challenge is that there are many people who want her to conform to
what they call ‘women standards.’ On Tuesday Akothee took to Social Media and
sent a breathtaking message to her daughters.
Her advice is certainly something we should learn from. She starts off by calling her children best friends, I mean how many of our parents at this time and age do that? They even hardly have time for you. Akothee asks her girls in the post, to ensure that they never force themselves into toxic relationships and never wait on any man to pay for their bills because they would hold them at ransom.
She also went ahead and gave her daughters an ultimatum of two years, claiming that’s when she will start enjoying her life. Well, what’s your take on her advice? I honestly think she is just being real with them, and letting them know that they should avoid doing a few things that she regrets having done.
