Top Kenyan rugby player dies after drowning in a swimming pool

Impala RFC and the Kenya Rugby fraternity is mourning the death of
Impala Saracens rugby player Richard Sidindi Otieno.

Bamba sport revealed that the top Rugby player met his sudden death after he drowned while swimming at the club’s swimming pool.

The unfortunate incident happened this morning of 25th February 2019 in Nairobi.

Richard is a formed student at Maseno University and St. Mary’s Yala. He has left behind a young family, Wife and daughter.

Impala Saracens in their statement mentioned that they will give more details of the funeral arrangements later.

Here is the full statement they issued following his death.

Impala RFC have today morning lost a member of their playing unit, fullback Richard Sidindi Akoth, who drowned while swimming at the club’s swimming pool.
