The people of Malindi are today drowned in mourning following the death of their OCPD Matawa Muchangi.
Mr. Muchangi died while being attended to at a hospital in Mombasa. He died on Monday with the cause of his death still reamining unclear.
DCIO Antony Sunguti has however confirmed that Mr. Muchangi fell ill on Sunday evening at his home before he was rushed to the hospital where he passed on hours later.
A postmortem is set to be conducted to establish what led to the OCPD’s death.
The Death of Muchangi has robbed Malindi of an upright officer who was dedicated to his work and was all out to help curb crime and make Malindi a safe place for it’s residents.
