South-rift unbeatable in marathon

The men and women of South Rift people group ruled the greater part of the races in the recently closed national preliminaries held in Eldoret.

In 6km junior ladies South Rift’s Beatrice Chebet the world under-20 5,000m cup bearer won the race in a period of 20:02.4 and Betty Chepkemboi was second in the wake of timing 20;31.2 in front of Jackline Rotich (South Rift) who came third in a period of 20:39.9. Chebet who train in Lemotit Athletics camp in Londiani Kericho County couldn’t shroud her satisfaction.

I had arranged well for this race and I was idealistic that I would be a piece of Team Kenya for the World Cross-Country title in Aarhus Denmark one month from now

In 8km junior men Iten-based Samwel Chebole rose the victor in the wake of timing 24;09.8 while South Rift’s Emmanuel Kiprotich and World under 20 3,000m steeplechase champion Leonard Bett came next and third in a period of 24:17.7 and 24:25.0, separately.

In 10km senior ladies World 5000m hero Hellen Obiri won in a period of 33:14.9 and South Rift’s Beatrice Mutai was second in 33;24.3 and World 3,000m steeplechase champion Beatrice Chepkoech (South Rift) fixed the platform in 33:54.7.

I am extremely cheerful to have won this race and part of Team Kenya for the world crosscountry, presently I need to prepare hard in front of the worldwide title on the grounds that the challenge would be stiff

In the 10km senior men it was mind blowing as meager known Amos Kirui from South Rift dazed a studded field to win in a period of 29;50.5 in front of Evans Keitany who came next in a period of 29:57.4 while Rodgers Kwemoi settled third in 29:59.3.
