Probe after lost nurse is found unconscious in foreign land

Darkness is clouding another disappearance case after the nurse who was reported missing was found unconscious in a far away land from where she initially was.

The Amref nurse who went missing on Thursday, February 21, has been found unconscious and admitted in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Mombasa hospital.

Her family said a Good Samaritan found her near a petrol station in Bamburi and reported the incident to the Kadzandani Police Station.

Before Ms Margaret Kilelu’s disappearance, the family said that she had been hospitalised at Kenyatta National Hospital with a depression-related illness.

She disappeared on Thursday at Tena Estate in Nairobi.

Before she went off radar from Nairobi’s Tena estate, her family members intimated that she had been admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH). She was diagonised with depression related symptoms.

Investigators have been tasked with cracking the puzzle on how the nurse ended up unconscious in a Mombasa referral facility from Nairobi.

Iqbal Khandwala, the chief administrator at CPGH said the patient was set undergo a toxicology examination. This is after medics at the facility suspected her blood was invaded by an infection.
