After investigations, the sleuths reportedly stated that the MPs had been mentioned after an editor of a local news website was arrested last year for questioning.

The DCI has also written a letter to the clerk of the National Assembly asking him to serve the MPs with details of the summon.

Other lawmakers who are set to appear before the DCI on Tuesday are Isiolo Woman Rep Rehema Jaldesa and Kirinyaga Purity Wangui.

Detectives are relying on information given by Douglas Baya who was arrested by police on December 27 and arraigned before Kiambu Senior Resident Magistrate Brian Kiambu.

The Wajir county woman representative distanced herself from sex tape stating that the clip was concocted to taint her reputation and image.

She said it was hard dealing with it but she would not be cowed and distracted from delivering her campaign promises.

Ms Gedi said the footage was sponsored by her rivals and the public should not buy the demeaning strategies employed by her political enemies.
