The National boy’s Under 15 soccer team has intensified its training ahead of the Mediterranean International Cup set to be held in April in Spain.
The National boy’s Under 15 team will be up against Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Ajax, Manchester United, and Manchester City, among other top European sides, in the Under 16 year’s category for the first time.
The Kenyan team on Sunday settled for a 2-2 draw against a Central Rift side in a friendly game staged at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
The hosts were quick off the mark, racing into a 2-0 lead inside the first 20 minutes.
However, Gil Harel halved the deficit for a 2-1 halftime score before Khamis Nyale restored parity in the second half, the match ending 2-2.
The friendly was the fifth for the Junior Stars this year.
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) embarked on preparing the team early in order to improve its strength before the federation kicks off an Under 13 and Under 15 league next month across the country.
