Ander Herrera admits he was ‘frustrated’ to be forced out of Manchester United’s crunch clash against.

The Spanish midfielder suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of the 0-0 draw at Old Trafford and was replaced by Andreas Pereira.

Herrera took to social media after the game and reacted to his injury setback. He posted on Instagram : “It was frustrating to have to leave the pitch in such an important game for us.

“But I’m proud of every one of my teammates today. They fought against the circumstances and gave everything on the pitch.”

Herrera was one of three United players who had to be withdrawn before half-time as Juan Mata and substitute Jesse Lingard also suffered muscle injuries.

The trio are now major doubts for Wednesday’s clash with Crystal Palace who thrashed Leicester 4 goals against 1 in their recent EPL clash , while Marcus Rashford could also miss out after playing through the pain barrier.

Boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “I’ve never seen the like of this before, three hamstrings in the first half.

“Rashy (Marcus Rashford) was kicked, did his ankle straight away we should have taken him off as well, we played with 10 and a half but Rashy’s attitude made up for it.
