As they say , “Uchungu wa mwana aijuaye ni mzazi”Betty Kyallo’s mother could not help but get emotional after a fabricated news about her TV queen daughter was ran by Pulse Magazine.

The Magazine had published an article alleging to have spoken to Betty concerning her plans to settle down and seeking her comment on Dennis Okari’s wedding.

However, Betty accused the magazine of using an interview she had done nearly seven months ago with the publication to make a story appear current.

“What a shame Pulse Magazine. You used an interview I did 7 months ago just to make a story relevant now. How unprofessional and uncouth. Steve Muendo we did an interview August last year, but in this article, you deliberately decided to make it sound like we did the interview recently which is misleading and a lie. Even fabricated lies about what I said in the last one week just to make a connection to unrelated event. What a shame for a publication like yours. Desperate to sell copies by using my name.” an incensed Betty wrote.

Taking to Instagram after her daughter expressed her disappointment, Julia Ngii wrote “May the hand of God punish those earning out of my daughter’s name. It’s so painful as a mother to read this Muendo.”

Following the outrage on social media, the publication has been pulled down but it is not a good look for the media house as is not the first time Standard Media Group has come under fire over an article on Kyallo. In August last year, The Nairobian Paper ran a salacious article on Betty who once worked for Standard Group’s KTN station.
