A Look at the Suspect Behind the Latema Road Explosion Now in Police Custody

They say a thief has 40 days and so is a terrorist.

The January 26th explosion on Latema road came at a time when the Country was trying to heal from the deadly Dusit D2 attack that led to the death of 22 innocent Kenyans and left many injured.

The Latema Explosion sent fear and chill among Kenyans who felt the terrorists were out to completely destroy the peace of our Nation.

Police launched a man-hunt for the suspects behind the attack and this saw them later release a video on social media with the image of the man suspected to be the owner of the luggage that exploded.

Police have now made enormous strides and arrested one suspect in connection with the explosion.

Mohammed Nurrow Mohammed was arrested on Friday, February 22 at Biashara Street within Moyale at the border between Kenya and Ethiopia.

He was arraigned in a Nairobi court on Monday under a miscellaneous application where police were granted three more days to detain him pending conclusion of investigations.

In its application the prosecution told court that the investigations are complex and involve a number of agencies, further noting that the accused could interfere with the probe if released.

“Intelligence reports show that he has other associates who assisted him in planning and executing the explosion,” the court was told.
