Detectives confirmed in a statement on twitter that they arrested seven people suspected to be fraudsters who have been impersonating a senior government officer and socialites to obtain money by false pretense after an intense operation.
However, among the 7 impersonators are flamboyant Bungoma politician and business tycoon Joseph Waswa and he is counterpart Isaac Wanyonyi who is a renowned journalist in Bungoma county, the politician Joseph Waswa is also understood to be facing murder case after he allegedly shot dead a university student at a Bar in Kimilili town in 2014.
