Central region leaders have clashed with Gatundu South member of parliament Moses Kuria over his bid for 2022 presidential election.

During the second death anniversary of the late Governor Nderitu Gachagua in Nyeri, Laikipia Women Rep Catherine Waruguru and Kirinyaga’s Purity Ngirici echoed Kiambu Governor Ferdinard Waititu in blasting Kuria.

Ngirici asked anyone who had their eyes on the 2022 seat to shelve their ambitions until after 2032 when DP Ruto leaves office.

The leaders threw their weight behind the deputy president saying that the Mt. Kenya region would be supporting DP Ruto’s quest for the country’s top job.

The battle for 2022 seems to have kicked off having part of the Jubilee leaders casting their bet on Deputy William Ruto.

Kuria dismissed theleaders telling them that he is not vying in their houses and should keep off.

DP Ruto, who was in attendance, cleared the air on putting aside political discussions and instead, asked the leaders to focus on implementing the Big Four Agenda which was the campaign promise they made to Kenyans.
