President Kenyatta Puts the Boychild on Notice

Is Kenya ready for a Female President?

The Country might be yet to put up proper mechanisms to pass and implement the 2/3 gender rule but even at that, one thing remains certain, the Country values women and cares about them.

Women have played a pivotal role in the development of the Nation. The country continues to produce exemplary women across various sectors and fields.

The Country is however yet to produce a Female President but this too could soon change according to President Uhuru Kenyatta who has said he looks foward to th day Kenya will have a female President.

“I pray to God and look forward to the day that I shall be sitting and listening to the first female President addressing the people of the Republic of Kenya,” he said.

“Some of my best ministers are women. Women understand the basis of servant leadership. Women understand that it is dedication to the family and the country that matters.”

Uhuru was speaking when he briefly joined First Lady Margaret Kenyatta who hosted at least 2,000 girl guides and their leaders during celebrations to mark this year’s World Thinking Day.

“Nobody should put you down because you are girls on the excuse that you have no capacity,” the President told the women and girls.
