A pregnant Form 3 student lifeless body was found at a lodging in Narok county on Friday.
Report shows that the deceased, a student at Kisiara Secondary School, checked herself into the facility the previous day.
Daily Active is yet to verify whether she had company or was alone.
The area chief Titus Tonui revealed that she might have died as a result of an abortion gone south.
The girl’s boyfriend, who lives in the same area where the lodging is located, reportedly disappeared after the incident.
Her body was taken to Kamkatet Hospital mortuary where an autopsy will be conducted to ascertain the cause of her death.
This incident comes barely a fortnight after the body of Caroline Mwatha, a human rights activist, was discovered at City Mortuary.
An autopsy conducted at Umash Funeral Home revealed that she died of excessive bleeding from her ruptured uterus after a botched abortion.
Independent pathologist, Dr Peter Ndegwa, explained that the human rights defender was “about 5 to 6 months pregnant with a male foetus.”
