The Zenbook Pro 14 is now in the kenyan market. the device from AsusTek will cost Ksh 209,990; yes they have taken it a notch higher. The company is popular among collage students becasue of their affordability but not this time.

The new laptop, which will be available in Kenya starting April this year, will see the company venture into a higher income market segment.

The slim laptop has a touch pad that doubles up as a number keyboard, 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, 16GB RAM and biometric technologies such as face login.

“The Kenyan market is very fast-growing…Zenbook 14 and 13 will do well in this market because Kenyan end users like innovation and something that will help them to improve their lives,” said Asus business development manager for Eastern and Southern Africa Simplice Dieudonne Zaongo yesterday.

The firm says its shipments to Kenya have increased steadily since 2011, registering 26,000 shipments last year. The company said it was targeting 30,000 shipments this year.

The company has also partnered with projects such as Cool for School to improve access for college students through paying in instalments.
