Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju who said Deputy President William Ruto will not be the party’s automatic choice to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022 was on Friday afternoon sharing the same platform when the party announced its Wajir West constituency by-election contestant.
Speaking in Jubilee party offices in parklands, DP Ruto said the the Jubilee Party will contest the Wajir West constituency by-election on a platform of issues, ideas, sound policy and service delivery aligned to the Big Four.
He further said that the party champions equity; inclusivity and a robust development agenda.The move by DP Ruto.
Kolosh had won the election on an ODM ticket but following the nullification, he defected to Jubilee.
The court said the petitioner Abdirahman Mohamed had proved that the results in two polling stations – Qara and Korich – were manipulated in favour of Kolosh.
ODM party has picked Prof Mohamed Yusuf Elmi as its candidate for Wajir West by-election to be held on April 25.
