Cases of couples killing one another has been common in our society calling for the need to address the issue of overcoming relationship distress.
Sad! A pregnant woman was brutally killed on Thursday by her husband following a slight brawl.
According to the area residents, the victim Beryl Adhiambo screamed for more than four hours after she was beaten by her husband Laiko Osuri, now in custody.
Beryl Ouma had no physical body injuries though her husband admitted to beating her.
While at Neema hospital, Beryl’s father Douglas Ouma told journalists he received a total three call back messages from her while he was asleep.
He then woke up when the last message hit his phone and decided to call back but her phone went unanswered.
Interestingly, after committing the heinous act, the man called the victim’s father, though he did not reveal that his wife was dead.
“My daughter sent me please call me because I was asleep. I heard the first one and had to call back. Few minutes, her husband called and asked me whether I was asleep or not. He then told me they had fought. When I prodded him further, he refused to tell me what transpired,”
Neighbours also confirmed the two had frequent arguments. They had been married for two years.
