Was Gatundu MP Wanjiku Kibe this dishonest?

Gatundu North MP Anne Wanjiku Kibe, whose election to parliament was approved by the Supreme Court a year ago, is confronting a another test.

An application documented at the High Court by her opponent, Clement Kung’u Waibara, demands the court to pronounce the seat empty.

Both Ms Kibe and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) are named as respondents.

Waibara, a previous MP, asserted that Kibe did not fit the law to strive for the seat since she had not surrendered as a nominated MCA at the season of the polls.

Waibara contended that Kibe was selected by the Jubilee Party to challenge for a parliamentary seat notwithstanding when she was getting every one of the advantages because of a seating MCA.
