REPORTS: Sarri to Ditch Chelsea and Join Roma

Maurizio Sarri has reportedly met with AS Roma representatives for a dinner in London, where the coach was offered a managerial job at the Serie A side.

According to the Italian outlet La Reppublica Roma president James Pallotta and consultant Franco Baldini have both met with Sarri as they want to see him at the Gialorossi next season.

The Italian newspaper also adds that current Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco is ‘very likely’ to leave at the end of the campaign. In this case, Sarri, who came close to delivering the Serie A title to Napoli last season, would be Roma’s ‘first choice’.

It is reported that Maurizio Sarri will be definitely sacked if he loses to Man City on Sunday in the Carabao Cup final, which seems a likely outcome considering the recent Chelsea form.

According to the outlet, Sarri himself was made very aware by the Chelsea board that his future is on the line on Sunday, as the owners already think about the potential replacements.
