Gareth Bale has time and again hinted that he would consider a move back to England and specifically to Manchester United. The Welshman is the subject of a transfer discussion with both Man United and Chelsea being interested in his services.
Bale prefers a move to Old Trafford but this might not be coming anytime soon as Spanish giants Real Madrid would prefer to offload him to Chelsea, according to reports.
United have been long-term admirers of the Welshman, who moved to the Spanish capital from Tottenham in 2013 for £86million.
The winger fancies a move to Old Trafford, but Marca reckon the Bernabeu hierarchy would prefer to do business with Chelsea in order to smooth Eden Hazard’s path to the Spanish capital.
Bale is available for £131m with United going for a straight cash deal.
But the Blues, who are also keen on bringing the forward back to the Premier League, may have no choice but to use Hazard and cash on top to get the deal done.
Bale was supposed to take up the mantle for the European champions following Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Juventus last year but a series of injuries have jeopardized his season.
