Man United Receive A Huge Boost following Marcus Rashford’s contract update

Liverpool will play their Premier League ‘game in hand’ over Man City this weekend when the Reds take on Man United at Old Trafford.

United will host Liverpool on Sunday.

While Liverpool are hoping to move three points clear at the top of the table, Man United will be desperate for the win too.

Marcus Rashford contract update
In a boost for United before Liverpool, the Mirror are reporting that Marcus Rashford is on the verge of agreeing a contract extension.

Rashford’s present deal expires in 2020.

The English attacker is now the number one striking option at Old Trafford. He’s above the likes of Romelu Lukaku in the pecking order.

Rashford has played 32 games in total this season. He’s scored ten goals and chipped in with eight assists.

As a reward, Man United are reportedly set to hand the 21-year-old a new six-year deal. The Mirror report:

The striker has indicated he is ready to sign a new deal which will keep him at the club until potentially 2025, after positive discussions which aim to make him one of the better paid players at Old Trafford.
